Five Ways to Wear a Silk Scarf

Five Ways to Wear a Silk Scarf

From Audrey Hepburn, Miranda Priestly, and Brigitte Bardot to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, silk scarves have been favoured by the fashionable for decades. Their ever-presence in the sphere of the stylish is hardly surprising. Combining sumptuously soft texture, outfit-enhancing colour, and endless versatility, they are accessories to be worn in all weather. Our collection of 100% silks are expertly handmade and they display designs to lift any outfit. Read on as we consider our five favourite ways to style them.

1. The Bandana

Method: Fold the scarf in half to create a triangle. Place the long edge of the scarf on your forehead and tie the two corners of the triangle together at the back of your head.

3. The Wraparound

Method: Fold the scarf in half to create a triangle. With the triangle centred and pointing downwards, wrap the scarf around your neck and tie it underneath the bottom of the triangle, so that the knot is hidden.

4. The Hair Tie

Hi Margaret – thanks for your comment. The four flowers on our Platinum Jubilee silk scarf are Irish clovers, Welsh daffodils, Scottish thistles and English roses: collectively recognised as the four Flowers of the Realm.

What do the 4 symbols stand for on the Queen Elizabeth scarf? I recognize a buttercup (jonquil), shamrock, Scottish thistle and some type of leaf? What is it . The significance? Thanks.
