2019 Easter Egg Box

Illustrative details of the heavily gilded organ pipes of the St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle were the main source of inspiration for the 47th edition of the Easter Egg enamel box. Tudor roses, dragons and the Garter star (dedicated to the image and arms of Saint George, England’s patron saint) adorn the festive piece.

Once opened, the inner egg reveals the location of the source of inspiration.

Halcyon Days will donate a percentage of profits from the sale of this 2019 Easter Egg to the College of St. George in recognition of the kind permission to use the Chapel as the source of inspiration.

Once ordered, this enamel will be made just for you. Please allow 10 working days to receive your box.

Each enamel box has been lovingly handcrafted by a team of highly skilled artisans. The process, which has been handed down through generations, requires painstaking accuracy, patience and dedication.

It begins as a simple copper mould before being cleaned and coated with a thin layer of enamel. It then enters a kiln at 800C for 7-8 minutes. This process is repeated no less than five times to ensure that the finish is hard, glossy and flawless in preparation for the painting and decoration.

Our artists paint the design by hand, using special enamel paints which can take days depending on the complexity of each design. The enamel is then fired a final time before it is checked, assembled and beautifully packaged.

Our warehouse despatches Monday to Friday. Please note that we can manufacture to order and will always have a skilled artist to work on personalised items. All orders are tracked for your convenience and security. Saturday delivery will incur further charges.

For UK orders delivery can be expected in 3 - 5 working days.

For US orders delivery can be expected in 7 working days.

For Rest of World deliveries, please allow 10 working days.

For personalised items, please allow a further 5 days on top of the delivery times above, to allow for hand painting or individual kiln firing. Should there be a delay to your order, we will always contact you and you will receive an email as soon as your delivery has been sent.
